We survey the premises, design the coverage, install the whole chain (cameras, recorder, storage, network and remote viewing) and maintain it afterwards. Standard systems for most sites, and custom ones where a standard system would not work.
Systems, not boxes
A camera is not a security system.
Anyone can sell you a camera. What decides whether you ever get useful footage is everything around it: where the lenses point, how long the recorder keeps what they see, whether the network holds when the power dips, and who answers when it stops. Spy Eye surveys the premises and installs the whole chain, then maintains it.

The six parts of every job
A quote for “eight cameras” is not a quote for a system. These are the six parts every job has, and the ones people are usually surprised by are the last three.

Cameras
Fixed domes and bullets, moving cameras that pan and zoom, thermal, and plate-readers, chosen per position rather than per box.

Recording & storage
A recorder and disks sized to how many days of footage you want kept before it is overwritten. A real number, agreed up front.

Network & power
Cabling that carries power and data on one run, battery backup so a cut does not blind you, and a 4G fallback where the line is unreliable.

Viewing & alerts
Phone and desktop, on site or anywhere, with alerts tuned so they stay worth reading.

Service contract
A yearly contract: lenses cleaned, angles re-checked, disks replaced before they fail. Faults attended the same week.
Where these go
Two decades of installations across Kolkata and West Bengal. Each of these asks something different of the design. A factory needs cabling that survives dust and heat, an institution needs to justify how long it keeps footage, a housing society needs both gates on one screen.

Homes
Four to eight cameras, usually. The gate, the drive, the staircases, and a phone that shows all of it.

Retail
Tills, aisles, stockroom, shutter. The recorder goes somewhere a thief will not think to look.

Offices
Reception and the floor run on your own network, with the server room on a camera only you can pull up.

Industry
Dust, heat and distance. Sheds, yards and weighbridges wired to survive all three.

Institutions
Schools, hospitals and museums. Retention and access are set by rule here, and the system has to prove it.

Complexes
Lobbies, lifts and the parking level, watched by a committee that has to answer to residents when something goes missing.
Intelligence, where it earns its place
These are capabilities we specify camera by camera. We are not tied to one brand, so the make and model at each position is chosen for what that position actually has to do, and a feature nobody will ever act on is a feature worth leaving out. Half of these on the right cameras beats all of them on the wrong ones.

Face detection
Faces logged as they enter frame. Worth having at one controlled entrance, rarely on a perimeter.

Object detection
People, vehicles and objects told apart, so alerts stop firing at cats and headlights.

Line crossing
A virtual boundary across a yard, a corridor or a fence line, alerting when it is crossed.

Plate capture
Number plates read at a gate or a weighbridge and logged against the entry. Sometimes called ANPR.

Thermal & temperature
Non-contact screening, and seeing where an ordinary lens sees nothing at all.

Remote view & recall
Live from anywhere, and last Tuesday found by time and camera without calling an engineer.
Which of these you get, and on which cameras, comes out of the survey, along with the picture quality, the lens on each position, and how many days of recording you keep.
When the catalogue system will not do
Most premises are solved by a well-designed standard installation. Some are not, and those are the jobs we are known for. The same workshop that builds concealed cameras also builds the housing, the mount and the power arrangement when nothing off the shelf fits the site.
No power, no internet
Construction sites, farmland, remote yards. Solar panel, battery and a 4G SIM in one pole-mounted unit, so the site is watched before the electrician arrives.
Reading number plates
Gates and weighbridges where the record has to say which vehicle, not just that one passed. Plate capture at speed, logged against the entry.
Overt system, covert additions
A visible installation that deters, with concealed units where it does not. The two record together, which is the part nobody else in Kolkata builds.
Somewhere hostile
Kitchens, cold rooms, coastal air, chemical plant. Custom housings, sealed cabling and enclosures specified against the thing that would have killed a standard unit.
If the difficulty is not on this list, it is still worth describing. Twenty years in means we have usually met it before.
