The tactical helmet. A working prototype.
A camera, a SIM and a GPS receiver on a standard ballistic shell, streaming to your control room and recording onboard at the same time. It is a proof of concept rather than a catalogue product, and we are looking for the unit that puts it to work first.
Proof of concept
What the wearer sees, the control room sees.
A camera, a microphone, a SIM and a GPS receiver, mounted to a standard ballistic helmet and wired to a control box on the opposite rail. It streams live to your control station, records everything to onboard storage at the same time, and puts the wearer's position on a map beside the picture.
This is a working proof of concept, and we would rather say so than dress it up. It is assembled from proven parts to prove the whole chain works end to end. There is no production run behind it and none in stock. What you see here is where it has got to.

Everything below is running on the prototype in the photograph. The specification is open: what stays, what goes and what gets built into a proper housing is decided with whoever trials it first.

Built for the moment nobody is at a desk
Two situations drove the specification: an operation where the commander is not with the team, and a disaster site where the people who can help are somewhere else. Both need the same thing: the view from the front, now, and a way to answer it.
Spy Eye has supplied electronic security to state police, central forces and government agencies for over twenty years. The concealment workshop that builds our camera housings builds this one too.
